Yes we currently have limited availability to see new clients.

Our session fee is $226. 

Payment Information:

  • For private paying clients, including those with private health insurance or Medicare, the full session fee is due on the day of service. The card provided at booking will be charged on the appointment day.

Rebates:

  • Medicare: This is not free; it offers a rebate only. We do not bulk bill.
    • Chronic Disease Management Plan: Requires a GP plan. You may get a $58 rebate on each session, making your out-of-pocket expense $168. Please send your plan to admin@hellokidstherapyhub.com.au before your appointment.
    • Helping Children with Autism: Requires a plan from a paediatrician or psychiatrist. Please send your plan to admin@hellokidstherapyhub.com.au before your appointment.

  • Private Health Insurance: Contact your insurer for details. Please inform us if you will be using insurance before your appointment.
    • Note: You cannot use both private health insurance and Medicare rebates; you must choose one.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS):
    • Provide your child’s NDIS number before all appointments.
    • Plan-managed participants: Provide your NDIS plan and plan manager’s name before your appointment.
    • Self-managed participants: Provide a valid Visa or Mastercard on file before your appointment; you will be charged on the day of service.

For all appointments, except those for NDIS plan-managed participants, we require card details at booking and that you sign our service agreement before your appointment. If you do not sign our service agreement we cannot proceed with your appointments.

Standard therapy sessions are 70 minutes, inclusive of 50 minutes face-to-face and 20 minutes of indirect therapy, including planning, data collating and note taking. 

Ongoing sessions may be up to 120 minutes if clinically appropriate.

No referral is needed to see a speech pathologist. 

We don’t offer speech therapy sessions on weekends at Hello Kids. 

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must notify us 48 hours  before your child’s appointment. We accept cancellations via email only at admin@hellokidstherapyhub.com.au

To avoid being charged the full session fee (including travel fees), you need to cancel at least two business days in advance, not including weekends, public holidays, or outside business hours. For Monday appointments, cancellations must be made by the previous Thursday.

Ensuring inclusivity, our North Melbourne clinic is fully accessible with a ramp at the front and disabled toilets located inside the building next to Hello Kids Therapy Hub.

Please note our Geelong Clinic has two steps at the front of the building. 

Our North Melbourne Clinic is located at Suite 1/79 Chetwynd Street, North Melbourne, where ample parking is available right in front of the premises, ensuring your convenience when accessing our services.

Our Highton clinic is located at 59 Barrabool Road, Highton. We operate out of rooms in Learning Works Hub – so please look out for this sign out the front. 

Upon submitting an enquiry form, our dedicated speech pathology team thoroughly reviews your request. If your child’s needs align with our services, they will be promptly placed with an available therapist.

Our initial consultations are thoughtfully designed as parent-only appointments. During this time, our dedicated team will engage with you to gather comprehensive case history information and discuss the specific goals your family has for speech therapy for your child. We believe in the power of collaboration, ensuring that you are an integral part of the process right from the start.

In your child’s first therapy session they will meet one of our skilled therapists at our clinic. In this session the speech pathologist will be taking down clinical observations and considering a plan for ongoing therapy.  Following this session, you will receive personalised recommendations and goals. If formal assessments are warranted they will be discussed with you. 

The frequency of your child’s therapy sessions is a personalised aspect determined by our experienced therapists. This individualised approach will be thoroughly discussed during your initial consultation, ensuring that the therapy plan aligns seamlessly with your child’s developmental requirements. We typically recommend weekly or fortnightly appointments. 


Yes. We understand the importance of flexibility, and our clinicians are well-versed in providing therapy sessions via Telehealth. This option allows us to extend our services beyond geographical boundaries, providing convenience without compromising the quality of care.

In line with our commitment to comprehensive care, we offer kindergarten, daycare and school visits within 15-20kms when deemed necessary by our speech pathologists from our North Melbourne Clinic. 

We do not provide kindergarten, daycare or school visits within Geelong. 

It’s essential to note that while we strive to accommodate community visits, they may not always be available due to scheduling constraints. 

You will be asked to provide a valid credit card to secure your booking.

If you are a private paying or self-managed NDIS participant, payment will be charged to your credit card on the day of your appointment. Before your appointment you will be required to provide a valid Visa or Mastercard. 

For plan managed NDIS participants, the invoice will be sent to your plan manager following the speech pathology appointment. If there is outstanding debt due to late payments, we may need to cancel your upcoming appointments.

  • Your credit card information is never stored on our systems. Instead, it’s processed and secured by Tyro Health, an ISO 27001 certified leader in information security.
